I’m a data nerd! In a former life I created Tableau dashboards to visualize health plan members’ social determinants of health. I have published a few interactive maps on Tableau Public (free + accessible to anyone), using data from the CDC and AHRQ along with a directory of current intensive treatment programs curated by my incredible research assistant & partner in all things maternal mental health (my mom!).
Intensive Treatment Search Dashboard
With this tool you can search by ZIP code to see the closest in-person:
- Perinatal inpatient (IP) unit
- Perinatal partial hospitalization program (PHP)
- Perinatal intensive outpatient program (IOP)
Along with an estimate of the demand for perinatal mental health care in the Core Based Statistical Area (CBSA) that zip code is located in.
U.S. Access Dashboard
This dashboard highlights things like:
- What % of U.S. women of reproductive age live within driving distance of any perinatal intensive treatment program, of any kind (IOP, PHP, Inpatient)
- How many women in the U.S. live over 100 miles from any kind of specialized program
- What this looks like, visually
